Biology Specialist Assistant (80%)
Your tasks
- Preparation, provision and follow-up of experiments, demonstration trials and practicals in biology lessons
- Support of biology teachers in planning and conducting practical teaching sequences
- Proper handling and preparation of biological materials, specimens and laboratory equipment
- Maintenance, servicing and organisation of laboratory rooms, equipment and biological collections
- Management of consumables as well as organisation of orders and stock
- Participation in the development and optimisation of teaching experiments
- Ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations in the laboratory
Your profile
- Practical laboratory experience is desirable, preferably in the biological or scientific field
- A completed apprenticeship as a laboratory technician EFZ or a comparable scientific qualification is an advantage
- Good knowledge of common laboratory techniques as well as confident handling of laboratory equipment and biological materials
- Independent, careful and structured way of working
- Organisational talent, flexibility and sense of responsibility
- Enjoyment of working with teachers and interest in the school environment
- Team spirit, reliability and a service-oriented attitude
