Lecturer for SVEB/EUROLTA Certificate Trainer German (Zurich & Bern)

(Locations: Zurich and Bern as well as online)

Course information

• Course location: Zurich and Bern, with online sessions on certain course days.
• Number of lessons: 108
• Course duration: 18 course days
• Course times: Friday and Saturday, 08:30–16:15
• Course language: German

Your tasks

• Planning, conducting and evaluating teaching events within the framework of the SVEB/EUROLTA course
• Practice-oriented imparting of didactic and methodological skills in adult education as well as specifically for language teaching
• Accompanying, advising and supporting participants in the learning process
• Assessment of competence evidence and learning achievements
• Ensuring course quality according to eduQua and ISO standards
• Active participation in shaping and further developing the courses

Your profile

1. Basic requirements (cumulative)

• Qualification in adult education
• Several years of practical experience in adult education
• Broad professional horizon with continuous further education
• Current activity in adult education

2. Qualification in adult education

One of the following qualifications is required:

• Diploma in Adult Education HF
• Federal Diploma Training Manager
• Diploma Vocational School Teacher (BKU or ABU, at least 1800h)
• Diploma Teacher at Higher Technical Colleges (at least 1800h)
• Federal Diploma Company Trainer
• Master in Educational Sciences – Adult Education (e.g. University of Geneva, 120 ECTS)

Alternatively:

• Relevant university degree (e.g. Pedagogy, Psychology, Sociology)
• In combination with recognised qualification in adult education (at least Trainer Certificate)

3. Practical experience

• At least 5 years of experience in adult education
• At least 500 hours of teaching experience
• Experience with different target groups
• Active teaching activity in adult education
• Additional EUROLTA requirements (mandatory): Several years of extensive (at least 1000 hours) practical experience teaching German as a foreign/second language in as varied contexts and levels as possible

4. Broad horizon & additional skills

• Completed initial training
• Continuous further education, e.g. in:
• Personnel / HR
• Leadership
• Consulting
• Project management
• Organisational development
• Coaching
• Fide certificate language course leader in the integration area desired
• Sound knowledge in:
• Didactics and methodology
• Learning psychology
• Communication
• Group processes

5. Language skills

• Native German or level C2

Ideally, applicants have the qualification to cover both the MI and SBU areas.
