About the job

The Grenchen schools are based on a two-tier leadership model with an overall school management and 4 site headteachers, who oversee 3 primary school and one lower secondary school district. A modern infrastructure in the northeast of the city enables a professional school operation. A new school building wing as well as a modern double sports hall have recently been put into operation.

As of 1 February 2027, a total of 120 full-time positions are to be filled in the Kastels school district.

Your tasks

• Educational, personnel, organisational and financial management of the Kastels school district (primary school and 7 neighbourhood kindergartens with around 400 pupils)
• Assumption of departmental tasks as a member of the management team
• Innovative school and teaching development according to Curriculum 21
• Cooperation with social services and external specialist agencies
• Ensuring quality standards
• Implementation of cantonal and municipal requirements

What you bring

• Training and leadership experience in educational organisations or equivalent qualifications and experience
• School leadership training recognised by the EDK or willingness to obtain it
• High communication and social competence
• Flexibility and resilience
• Enjoyment of the varied and sometimes hectic everyday life of a diverse primary school
