Lead IT Engineering (m/f/d) 100%

You want to do more than just operate IT; you want to develop it measurably? As Lead IT Engineering, you are responsible for the professional development, control, and implementation of our IT infrastructure within the corporate group. You are the central interface for IT engineering and infrastructure between the specialist departments and external service providers and technology partners. In doing so, you ensure that our IT solutions are provided efficiently, securely, automatically, and economically. Your focus is on significantly increasing the degree of automation of our IT infrastructure and operational IT operations through automation and AI.

Your tasks

• Professional leadership and further development of the IT engineering and infrastructure area as well as co-design of the IT strategy together with the CDIO and management.
• Central contact person for business stakeholders: You collect requirements, evaluate and prioritise them, and manage escalations in critical projects.
• Management of external IT partners and managed service providers including service quality, SLA compliance, contract management, and service reviews.
• Leadership of strategic IT infrastructure projects and transformation initiatives - on time, within budget, and across internal and external teams.
• Identification and implementation of automation potentials in IT infrastructure and operational IT operations, especially through cloud, digitalisation, and AI initiatives.
• Responsibility for budget, resource planning, and KPIs as well as compliance with IT policies, security, and compliance requirements.

Your profile

• Degree in business informatics, computer science, business administration, or a comparable education; further training in project management, AI, or service management is an advantage.
• Experience in a lead, engineering, or comparable responsibility role in the IT environment.
• Experience in managing IT projects and transformation programmes as well as managing external service providers and technology partners.
• Proven experience in automating IT infrastructures, operational processes, or service management workflows.
• Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Tech Stack is a clear advantage - especially in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, as well as Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
• Good understanding of modern IT infrastructures, cloud services, AI-supported operating models, agile methods, as well as IT security and compliance.
• Strong communication skills, negotiation skills, and a confident appearance at management level, combined with entrepreneurial thinking and a hands-on mentality.
