Automated infrastructure, continuous delivery, and cloud-native technologies: Build the technical foundation for fast and reliable software releases.
This position is aimed at engineers who understand infrastructure as code and want to drive modern delivery processes. The focus is on Kubernetes, Linux, Ansible, and CI/CD – complemented by security, observability, and continuous optimisation of the entire platform.
Work location: Bern or Zurich (with hybrid options)
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of a modern DevOps platform
Operation of containerised applications on Kubernetes
Automation of infrastructure and platform services with Ansible
Development of standardised modules for provisioning and configuration management
Implementation of automated deployment processes across all environments
Building robust CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery
Integration of automated tests, security checks, and quality gates into delivery processes
Further development of Git-based development and deployment workflows
Engineering and lifecycle management of Linux systems
Automated implementation of patching, hardening, and security measures
Optimisation of network, storage, and system components
Building modern monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Analysis of performance and availability issues including root cause analysis
Development of reliable backup, recovery, and restore processes
Standardisation and documentation of technical operational processes
Support in the integration of Windows-based infrastructure components
Technical collaboration with development teams, departments, and external partners
Qualifications:
Technical training or degree in computer science or comparable practical experience
Several years of experience in Linux, DevOps, or platform engineering
Good practical knowledge of Kubernetes
Experience with Ansible and automated configuration management
Experience with CI/CD and tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
Good knowledge of Git and modern software delivery processes
Understanding of containerisation and cloud-native architectures
Good knowledge of Linux administration
Experience with network, storage, and security basics
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, or PowerShell is an advantage
Experience with monitoring and observability is an advantage
Interest in infrastructure as code and platform automation
Strong technical understanding and enjoyment of challenging troubleshooting tasks
Independent, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
