Role:
Stable software releases do not happen by chance but on a well-thought-out platform. This is exactly where you come in as a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Kubernetes), responsible for the architecture, operation, and expansion of an OpenShift environment. Your voice counts in key technology decisions. Instead of just processing tickets, you create standards that many teams rely on daily.
Responsibilities:
You create scalable processes for build, test, and release based on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and GitOps.
You embed guardrails for security, compliance, and governance directly into the platform.
Furthermore, you take technical leadership in demanding incidents and thoroughly investigate root causes.
You standardise the toolchain and drive automation where it brings real added value.
Additionally, you evaluate new tools and platform services, for which you are technically responsible for their introduction.
You also advise development, architecture, and IT security and professionally support junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Several years of practical experience in DevOps or platform engineering have shaped you.
You are confident working with Kubernetes and OpenShift and familiar with container ecosystems including registries like Harbor.
You work routinely with Git, Tekton, ArgoCD, TeamCity, or comparable tools.
Logging, monitoring, and observability with Sentry, ELK, or similar solutions are part of your daily routine.
You think in secure, scalable architectures and translate complex requirements into pragmatic solutions.
Moreover, you convince with ownership, decisiveness, and enjoyment in mentoring. You command German fluently and feel comfortable in English technical discussions.
