About the job
The Faculty of Medicine (MeF) at the University of Zurich is at the heart of medical innovation in Switzerland. We advance both first-class education and innovative research: from the laboratory to the bedside. The MeF has around 230 professors.The Dean's Office for Studies is a subdivision of the Faculty of Medicine. It ensures a well-coordinated teaching and examination operation and offers competent advice to students on all matters concerning their studies. With currently about 4000 students, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zurich is the largest in Switzerland.
The Teaching and Services Competence Centre is responsible for the administrative processes of the Dean's Office for Studies and supports a smooth study operation. To strengthen our study administration team, we are looking for a digitally savvy, service-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills.
Specialist in Study Administration and Advising
Tasks
- Responding to student enquiries on specific questions about medical studies
- Processing applications from students
- Administration of academic achievements in SAP and related systems
- Recognition of academic achievements
- Participation in the optimisation and digitalisation of processes
Profile
- Commercial or comparable education
- Good knowledge of university structures and processes along the student life cycle
- Familiarity with administrative processes, ideally in the area of school or university administration
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Confident, service-oriented manner
- High adaptability and willingness to change
- Ability to collaborate smoothly with higher authorities as well as with internal and external partners
- SAP knowledge
- Willingness to familiarise oneself with specific software solutions used at the MeF
