Role:

Cloud and traditional infrastructure are increasingly merging. We are looking for a versatile IT engineer who combines modern cloud technologies with stable on-premises platforms while keeping automation, security, and reliable operation equally in view. Ideal for professionals who want to not only manage infrastructure but actively develop it further.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering and further development of hybrid IT platforms

• Connecting on-premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure

• Administration and optimisation of Windows and VMware environments

• Support of highly available server, storage, and network platforms

• Further development of cloud and infrastructure architectures

• Planning and implementation of technical migrations and modernisations

• Automation of recurring administrative tasks with PowerShell

• Standardisation of configurations and operational processes

• Implementation of security-by-design in infrastructure and cloud projects

• Development and optimisation of backup, recovery, and business continuity concepts

• Monitoring of system states, performance, and availability

• Analysis of complex incidents and conducting structured root cause analyses

• Support of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID

• Implementation of modern identity and access management concepts

• Management of user identities, roles, and permissions

• Collaboration in interdisciplinary cloud, infrastructure, and security projects

• Technical support of rollouts and platform changes

• Creation of technical concepts, standards, and operational documentation

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in system engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

• Solid VMware experience

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructures

• Good knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365

• Experience with SQL Server and infrastructure-related database environments

• Solid understanding of networks, storage, and virtualisation

• Experience with PowerShell and automation of operational processes

• Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery

• Understanding of modern cyber security and identity concepts

• Experience with technical projects and infrastructure transformations

• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking

• High personal responsibility and careful handling of business-critical systems

• Strong communication and service orientation

• Technical training, degree, or comparable background in computer science
