About the job

• Counter service during the night, at weekends and on public holidays
• Operating the telephone and fire alarm system
• Central contact person for the residents
• Care and support of residents with everyday concerns
• Ensuring peace, order and safety in the accommodation
• Recognising and responding appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations
• Alerting police, fire brigade or emergency services if necessary
• Communicating and enforcing the house rules as well as documenting relevant incidents
• Checking cleaning work in the evening and at weekends
• Carrying out tasks from the day team
• Presence and control rounds as well as visitor checks and directing visitors after visiting hours
• Ensuring compliance with the internal safety and evacuation concept
• Careful handover and documentation of important information

• Completed vocational training or experience in this position
• Good knowledge of German, other foreign language skills an advantage
• Cross-cultural communication skills
• IT skills in MS Office
• First aid course or refresher, not older than 2 years
• Flexible, resilient and service-oriented
• Compliance with data protection
• Experience with crisis situations as well as issues of violence and trauma
• Maintains humour and a cool head even in hectic times
• Willingness to work irregular hours
• Unproblematic criminal record extract
• Minimum age 25 years
