Role:
Are you a technical leader who not only keeps an overview but also delves into complex IT issues? In this key position, you combine team leadership with solid engineering know-how and design powerful IT platforms from the cloud to network infrastructure. Here, you do not lead from a distance but are technically close to the systems, technologies and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Technical and personnel leadership of an IT infrastructure team with a pronounced hands-on mentality
Responsibility for the architecture, operation and further development of a modern IT system landscape
Technical conception and optimisation of virtualisation platforms, server environments and cloud services
Ensuring a stable, secure and high-performance network and firewall infrastructure
Active participation in demanding technical analyses, troubleshooting and architectural decisions
Management of infrastructure projects, migrations and technological modernisations
Further development of automation, monitoring and standardised operational processes
Implementation of security and availability concepts as well as continuous improvement of IT resilience
Promotion of knowledge building, collaboration and personal responsibility within the team
Coordination of technical priorities with internal stakeholders and company management
Qualifications:
Completed training or further education in computer science, systems engineering or comparable practical qualification
Several years of experience in engineering and operation of complex IT infrastructures
Solid knowledge of server architectures, virtualisation and cloud technologies
Sound know-how in networks, routing, switching, firewalls and IT security
Experience with Windows Server, ideally complemented by Linux knowledge
Understanding of high availability, backup and recovery concepts as well as monitoring
Initial or several years of leadership experience or demonstrable ability to coordinate and develop technical teams
Analytical thinking and enjoyment in solving complex technical challenges independently
Decisiveness, sense of responsibility and clear, appreciative communication
Interest in Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern cloud operating models
