Type of Work

In this exciting and technically demanding position, you will share responsibility with an experienced team for the operation and further development of a modern network infrastructure. You will ensure the stable and secure operation of the LAN, WAN and WLAN environment and actively contribute to the continuous optimisation of the network landscape.

Your main tasks include the administration, monitoring and further development of the network infrastructure as well as the planning and execution of system maintenance, changes and conversions. In addition, you will create technical concepts, maintain system documentation and participate in the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure projects.

Another focus of your work lies in the analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support. You will develop sustainable solution concepts, coordinate technical adjustments and work closely with internal departments and IT specialists to ensure the secure and smooth operation of the network platforms.

Requirements Profile

For this challenge, you have training in computer science or a comparable qualification. You bring several years of experience in operating WAN, LAN and WLAN infrastructures and have knowledge of working with Cisco or comparable enterprise network environments.

Experience in network security, firewalls, network access control or proxy solutions is an advantage. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python further rounds off your technical profile. You work independently, analytically and solution-oriented and are characterised by a high level of quality and security awareness.

Very good German skills as well as good English skills complete your profile. In addition, you appreciate teamwork and are willing to continuously familiarise yourself with new technologies and infrastructure topics and occasionally perform on-call duties.
