Hybrid infrastructures thrive on people who truly understand technology. This is exactly where the position of Senior System Engineer On-Premises & Cloud comes in. The focus is on virtualisation with VMware, backup with Veeam, and the connection of classic data centre services with cloud services. You work technically in depth, help shape standards, and are the contact person when things get complex.
Responsibilities:
You keep hybrid infrastructures stable and secure in operation and develop them technically further.
Together with the operations team, you are responsible for patch, update, and lifecycle topics, including with Azure Update Management.
The planning, configuration, and migration of on-premises and data centre solutions are in your hands, both in customer projects and in the internal environment.
Furthermore, you resolve complex faults in 3rd level support and ensure permanently effective solutions.
You manage technical orders and manageable projects independently or in cooperation with project management.
In addition, you contribute to processes, operating models, and the documentation of system landscapes.
Qualifications:
Your foundation is a completed IT education, preferably supplemented by further training at HF, FH level or equivalent.
Several years of experience in data centre, virtualisation, or hybrid cloud environments distinguish you.
You know enterprise server hardware, virtualisation platforms, and backup technologies in detail.
Additionally, you have routine in migrations, modernisations, and the integration of infrastructure solutions.
Furthermore, you keep an overview in complex environments, act independently, and think pragmatically.
You also express yourself very precisely in German and use English confidently in everyday work.
