Hybrid cloud, enterprise infrastructure, and cyber security: Develop a powerful IT landscape and ensure that critical systems function reliably at all times.
We are looking for a technically skilled individual who understands modern infrastructure holistically. The position combines on-premises systems with Azure cloud, virtualisation, monitoring, backup, and security, offering plenty of room for technical design and project work.
Responsibilities:
Operation and continuous development of a hybrid enterprise infrastructure
Support of VMware-based virtualisation platforms and physical server environments
Administration of central Windows server and network components
Monitoring of on-premises and Azure infrastructures with modern monitoring and observability solutions
Design and further development of backup, restore, and disaster recovery architectures
Operation and optimisation of Veeam-based backup and recovery solutions
Automation of recurring infrastructure processes with PowerShell and Azure Automation
Analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults at the 2nd-level support
Investigation of technical error patterns and conducting root cause analyses
Detection, analysis, and handling of cyber security incidents
Implementation of preventive security measures for systems and infrastructure
Further development of operational standards, security concepts, and technical documentation
Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects
Assuming technical project management for internal initiatives and together with external technology partners
Evaluation of new technologies to modernise the infrastructure
Qualifications:
Completed training or higher vocational education in IT, system technology, or comparable practical experience
Several years of experience in operating modern IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge of Windows Server and network technologies
Solid experience with VMware and Veeam
Good practical knowledge of Azure and Microsoft 365
Experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint concepts is an advantage
Good PowerShell skills and enthusiasm for infrastructure automation
Experience with Cisco network components is an advantage
Knowledge of Linux or SQL is a plus
Understanding of cyber security, backup, recovery, and business continuity
Experience in technical project work or project management
Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
Independent, structured, and proactive working style
