Are you ready to help shape the future of the city of Schaffhausen?

In the municipal nursery Lebensraum located in the heart of the old town, we offer around 40 family-supportive care places and accompany children aged from 4 months up to kindergarten entry between 06:30 and 18:30. We organise our work according to the Infans concept, the educational principles of the framework for early childhood education, care and upbringing, and are QualiKita certified. A detached building with various functional rooms offers children space to feel comfortable and safe. For play and exercise in the fresh air, we use our spacious garden, the nearby promenade park or our idyllic woodland area.

Start date: 1 November 2026 or by arrangement

Child and Youth Care Worker

In this exciting role

• you accompany and support young children in their development.
• you develop and document educational, care and learning objectives according to the quality requirements of QualiKita and implement these in practice.
• you create a stimulating, age-appropriate learning and development environment together with the children.
• you support the planning and design of educational work and contribute your ideas.
• you maintain a partnership-based collaboration with the parents or guardians.
• you carry out domestic tasks.

You will be successful here

• due to your training as a childcare specialist EFZ specialising in children or an equivalent qualification.
• with your professional experience and your respectful, patient and person-centred attitude in dealing with young children.
• thanks to your strong teamwork skills, social competence and conflict resolution abilities.
• because you work in a quality-oriented, resilient and flexible manner and show full commitment.
• because you have very good oral and written German skills and are proficient with the MS Office suite.
