About the job

The parish of St. Leodegar im Hof with around 4,600 Catholics has a diverse parish life with lively residential quarters and clubs. It is the oldest parish in Lucerne. Its historic Hof Church in the heart of the city serves as both parish and collegiate church. The parish offers excellent music programmes, is a place for retreat, prayer, and communal celebration, and is a tourist attraction. We are seeking a priest or community leader from summer 2026 or by arrangement. With your spiritual, inclusive, and social personality, you will shape the parish. You will lead a participative team of 30 committed employees and continue the constructive collaboration with the collegiate chapter. You appreciate and support the approximately 270 volunteers who are engaged in the parish. You carefully design people-centred liturgies, are communicative, culturally versatile, and open to new ideas. You attentively and empathetically take care of pastoral care. You are rooted in the Christian tradition and open to contemporary and life-relevant expressions of faith. You foster ecumenical cooperation. You are integrated into the large pastoral area of the city of Lucerne. As a team player, you contribute to the content of the pastoral area and work on its further development. You are open to change. Harmonious and partnership-based collaboration within the church's dual structure is natural for you.
