Apprenticeship as a Designer EFZ
As a Designer EFZ, you develop individual parts and assemblies of machines, devices or everyday products using state-of-the-art 3D software. You carry out entire projects or parts of projects. Ordering purchased parts (e.g. electric motors, valves, gears, etc.), creating parts lists or operating instructions also belong to the designer's area of responsibility. The daily routine of a designer As a Designer EFZ, you spend about 90% of your working time working with CAD software on the computer. In addition, you participate in meetings (e.g. with the client, the customer or the polymechanic), measure something on a machine or visit a customer to inspect the planned system on site. Design process at Robofact AG Before a machine is sold by us, a designer creates a simple 3D model of the system as it might look. Once we receive the order for the machine, we begin building the detailed system in 3D. After a meeting with the customer, where the machine is discussed again and final details are clarified, the designer begins to create a drawing of each individual part. When all parts are drawn, we order them from our suppliers. Timely ordering and checking of deliveries also belong to the designer's responsibilities. Finally, documentation such as a pneumatic diagram and a risk analysis are created. Apprenticeship as a Designer
