Tasks

Ensuring the operational management of the Child Protection Switzerland helpline

• Receiving, processing and documenting enquiries and reports
• Professional assessment of situations, recognising support and risk situations
• Providing information, brief counselling and triage to responsible authorities or specialist agencies
• Professional and solution-oriented communication in demanding and sensitive situations
• Coordination and various team leadership tasks (e.g. deployment planning)
• Social campaigning on helpline concerns

Stakeholder care and collaboration

• Maintaining and coordinating cooperation with commissioning organisations, partner organisations and external specialist agencies

Quality and further development

• Preparation of statistics and reports
• Participation in the further development of processes and tools

Profile

• Completed training in social work, social sciences, psychology, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in counselling or case work in the area of early detection and early intervention in child welfare endangerment, ideally in the context of an ombuds office, child and adult protection authority (KESB), socio-pedagogical family support, etc.
• Fluent German skills, as well as very good French skills. Italian and other language skills are an advantage
• High counselling competence as well as high integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Independent, reliable and structured working style
• Good ICT user skills
• Impeccable reputation
