The municipality of Fulenbach, with around 1,850 inhabitants, is a dynamic and lively Solothurn community in the Aare valley, characterised by good transport links, rural structures, and a vibrant club and cultural life. Thanks to a good mix of residential and commercial areas, the natural surroundings, and the culturally active village life, Fulenbach represents an attractive place to live. The Fulenbach school has two modern schoolhouse locations (main schoolhouse Salzmatt and kindergarten building in the village centre). The Fulenbach school sees itself as an inclusive, modern school.

We are looking for a professionally competent, open-minded and proactive individual as Headteacher (60 - 70%) Kindergarten, Years 1-6, (Music School) from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Area of responsibility

Within the scope of the professional mandate, you will take on the professional, organisational and administrative management of our school in accordance with the existing school strategy. You are responsible for the educational and personnel leadership of around 25 teachers who teach 8 class groups (including kindergarten). You take responsibility for implementing educational policy objectives. This includes the further development of teaching quality as well as advising and supporting teachers and parents.

Profile / Requirements

As a committed and innovative individual, you succeed in maintaining and further developing the school culture of Fulenbach and in successfully implementing the overarching school development topics together with your teaching team.

Ideally, you have leadership experience and have completed school leadership training or are willing to complete it promptly. You are characterised by personal commitment, conflict and team skills, and possess very good communication and organisational abilities. A respectful, open and clear manner forms the basis for a good working atmosphere.
