System Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the IT infrastructure
- Responsibility for organising IT matters within the institute as well as technical leadership of the IT team of up to three employees
- Organisation of data backups and data transfer from instrument controllers
- Consultation, coordination, and support of ICT
- Procurement and implementation of new IT systems
- Co-responsibility for network zones
Qualifications:
- Education at (technical) university level or higher technical college level with several years of professional experience in a similar role
- Very good knowledge in ICT administration and ICT support as well as configuration of networks and network management
- Advanced Linux knowledge
- Very good knowledge of common operating systems (Windows/Server with Active Directory, MacOS) for administration and support
- Knowledge and experience in data management and IT service management (e.g. ITIL) as well as good knowledge of IT security
- Experience in coordinating various interfaces and in project management
- High initiative and service orientation, strong quality awareness
- Very good language skills in German and English
