The municipality of Widen, with around 4,000 inhabitants, is characterised by a high quality of life, a solid financial base and an attractive working environment. Around 20 employees are engaged in the municipal administration, many of whom have supported the municipality for years with great dedication and loyalty.

The Finance Department is responsible for the entire accounting of the resident and local citizen municipality of Widen as well as the three municipal associations Kreisschule Mutschellen, Sportzentrum Burkertsmatt and Zentrumsbibliothek Mutschellen. In addition to diverse and demanding tasks, you can expect a collegial team with short decision-making paths and an open working culture.

To strengthen our Finance Department, we are looking for a committed and motivated person immediately or by arrangement as

Deputy Head of Finance Department (80 - 100 %)

What you can expect with us

• Support and deputising for the Head of Finance
• Management of accounts payable and receivable accounting
• Management of the general ledger and processing of payment transactions
• Independent management of payroll accounting with Abacus
• (Opening employees, registrations and deregistrations with social insurances and payroll run)
• Assistance with the financial statement and budget preparation
• Responsible for tax collection
• Management of mandate invoices for Sportzentrum Burkertsmatt and Zentrumsbibliothek Mutschellen
• Counter and telephone service
• Responsible for the training and supervision of apprentices of the municipality of Widen (trainer)
• Taking on further/other tasks depending on interest/aptitude

What you bring with you

For this responsible and demanding role, you have:

• Several years of professional experience in the financial sector of a municipality
• The CAS Public Administration Level II professional certificate – Financial Specialist Aargau or an equivalent further education
• In-depth knowledge of accounting according to HRM2
• Good IT user skills (Innosolv/Abacus advantageous)
• An analytical mindset combined with strong communication skills and pronounced social competence
• An independent and reliable working style
