An experienced professional in the areas of virtualisation, storage, and backup is sought for the operation and continuous development of a central IT infrastructure. The position combines technical engineering with lifecycle management and the implementation of demanding infrastructure projects.
You will take responsibility for highly available storage, server, and backup environments and actively shape their technological development. Additionally, you will participate in the planning and implementation of projects and contribute your expertise in modern automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, operation, and development of central storage and SAN infrastructures
Support and lifecycle management of virtualised server platforms
Ensuring the reliable operation of backup and recovery solutions
Operation and maintenance of Linux servers based on RHEL
Planning and management of technically demanding infrastructure projects
Creating technical concepts as well as automating and optimising existing environments
Qualifications:
Completed computer science degree or comparable education and training
Several years of experience with storage, SAN, backup, and recovery systems
Solid practical experience in operating virtualised server environments
Experience in administering Linux servers, ideally RHEL
Confident handling of automation and configuration tools such as Ansible and GitLab
Structured, independent working style as well as good German language skills
