About the job
Job Description
As an M365 Collaboration engineer, you will be the driving force behind our Microsoft 365 platform strategy - championing adoption, governing the platform at scale, and building solutions that empower end-users across the organization. You bridge the gap between technical capability and business value, ensuring M365 is used effectively, securely, and consistently across teams.
Core Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Governance
-
Own the M365 platform strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle - defining standards,
policies, and guardrails for platform usage across the organization; -
Establish and enforce governance frameworks covering SharePoint/MS Teams
Policies, external sharing policies, information architecture, and retention
policies; -
Monitor platform health, usage analytics, and compliance posture using the
M365 Admin Center, Microsoft Purview and Power Platform COE; -
Collaborate with IT Security and Compliance teams to align platform governance
with organizational risk and regulatory requirements.
Platform Adoption & Enablement
-
Drive M365 adoption initiatives across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive,
Power Platform, and Viva - turning features into business value; -
Develop and execute adoption campaigns, training programs, and champion
networks to accelerate user engagement; -
Act as the internal subject matter expert for M365, advising business units on
best-fit solutions and modern workplace patterns; -
Measure adoption success through usage metrics, feedback loops, and
continuous improvement cycles aligned with Microsoft's adoption framework.
SharePoint Development (PnP / PowerShell-first)
-
Build and maintain site templates, provisioning scripts, and automated
governance workflows using PnP provisioning engine and PowerShell; -
Leverage Microsoft Graph API to extend M365 capabilities and integrate across services;
-
Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell scripts and
Power Automate flows, reducing manual overhead and improving consistency; -
Produce clear governance documentation, platform guides, and architecture
decision records accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Migration Strategy & Execution
-
Lead and coordinate migrations from SharePoint On-Premises, file shares, and
legacy systems to M365, using migration tools and define migration playbooks, remediation, scheduling, and user communication; -
Ensure data integrity, security classification, and compliance requirements are
upheld throughout migration projects.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Advisory
-
Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into platform solutions, prioritizing low-code/no-code approaches via Power Apps and Power Automate before pursuing custom development;
-
Provide guidance on Teams governance, OneDrive policies, and Microsoft 365
Groups lifecycle management; -
Produce clear governance documentation, platform guides, and architecture
decision records accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
-
Experience designing and executing M365 adoption programs, including stakeholder engagement and change management;
-
Deep hands-on experience with SharePoint Online architecture, site design, and information architecture at enterprise scale;
-
Proficient in PnP PowerShell and the PnP Framework for SharePoint automation, provisioning, and governance;
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for cross-service automation and reporting;
-
Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 tenant administration and governance tooling (Admin Center, Purview, Entra ID);
-
Working knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate for process automation;
-
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform configurations and governance policies;
-
Hands-on experience with migration tools: Sharegate, SPMT, or Metalogix is a plus;
