You are experienced in the Swiss school system and complex processes, strong in negotiation and assertiveness with foresight, drive and perseverance. Our client, an attractive, dynamic municipality near Basel, is looking for a committed, ambitious, resilient and convincing personality, preferably over 50, as a sensitive yet leadership-skilled

Primary School Headteacher (80–100 %)

• In this versatile key position with operational and strategic issues, you will take overall responsibility for a primary school location with the following main tasks:
• Educational, personnel, organisational and administrative leadership of a primary school site
• Taking on departmental tasks as a member of the school management
• Ensuring innovative school and teaching development according to the curriculum
• Developing and implementing concepts and measures in the areas of quality management, health promotion and safety
• Collaboration and interface with external specialist offices and committees

Leadership personality – experience in educational organisations – school management training – committed, conscientious, resilient and engaging!

To be sustainably successful in this varied leadership and management role with conceptual and operational issues, you ideally have the following profile:

• Leadership experience and completed school management/leadership training (or willingness to complete it) or extensive management experience
• Strong communication, team and empathy skills
• Several years of experience in the Swiss education and school system, interest in political processes and enjoyment in proactively optimising existing structures
• Independent, reliable and resilient personality with a strong service mindset, foresight, precise, efficient and effective work
• Enjoyment of teamwork in complex projects with diverse stakeholders as well as enthusiasm for impact-oriented work at a diverse public school
• Possibility of taking on further leadership responsibilities if interested
