You can contribute in this role
- Shape the medical service leadership process at the operational level, assess the medical feasibility of operations and represent JMed both professionally and organisationally
- Monitor the medical readiness of the army, further develop risk management and create the integrated medical situation picture
- Develop medical service guidelines, concepts and decision-making bases for operations and coordinate implementation together with internal and external partners
- Analyse operations, define indicators and derive measures for the further development of the specialist area as well as contributions to army command
- Represent the medical specialist area in projects, working groups and expert committees, lead militia members and implement the requirements of integrated security
What makes you unique
- University or university of applied sciences degree (Bachelor) or higher technical or business administration training with several years of professional experience
- Training and practical experience in project and process management as well as sound knowledge of military leadership and medical processes at the operational level
- Several years of experience as a staff officer and strong analytical, conceptual and organisational skills
- Knowledge and practical experience of medical services in an international context and willingness to further educate yourself in this regard
- High social and leadership competence, independent and responsible working style as well as confident appearance towards internal and external partners
- Very good knowledge of two official languages and good English skills (at least B2)

The Operations Command (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and missions of the Swiss Army. The Kdo Op includes, among others, the Air Force, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. Around 40% of the approximately 2,500 employees are civilian – from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.
The Swiss Army employs over 9,000 people in four military and around 200 civilian professions – at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. The next generation is also taken care of: the Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
