To complement our team at the BAZ Basel centre, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a Deputy Head Chef 80-100% (fixed-term until 31.12.2026).
Your Responsibilities
- Support the head chef to ensure orderly daily operations and compliance with operational procedures and prescribed processes
- Assist in the correct preparation of meals and the management of the kitchen team
- Monitor hygiene and safety regulations according to HACCP
- Check work-related standards and values as well as the use of the correct work equipment
- Assist with correct ordering and storage of goods
- Coordinate staff allocation and manage/update time management
- Support the professional leadership of the subordinate team
- Supervise employees and partners in accordance with applicable guidelines and requirements: mycode, regulations, ORS values
- Take on further responsibilities as directed by kitchen management
Your Profile
- Secondary level II: Federal VET Diploma (EFZ)
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in work pedagogy
- HACCP theory and practical implementation
- Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
- German | spoken: B2 | written: B2
- French | spoken: B1 | written: B1
- English | spoken: B1 | written: B1
