About the job
The E-Learning & Examination team (ELEXA) is part of the Multimedia & E-Learning Services (MELS) of the Central IT at the University of Zurich (UZH). We operate and support OLAT, the central Learning Management System (LMS) of UZH. Through our work, we enable digital teaching and learning for lecturers and students of all faculties and contribute to the further development of UZH's digital educational offerings.Learning Management System Specialist
Responsibilities
- You support OLAT users in 2nd-level support and handle complex enquiries
- You advise and train lecturers, staff, and other university stakeholders
- You create and maintain training materials, tutorials, and documentation
- You manage and further develop the LMS community
- You test new OLAT features and bug fixes and support quality assurance
- You capture software requirements and contribute them to the OLAT development process
- You participate in projects for the further development of the LMS
- You support the Online Examinations working group with services in the examination area
- You continuously engage in professional development and share your expertise within the team
Profile
- University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in education, computer science, or media technology
- Enjoyment of support and collaboration with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in consulting, support, training, or adult education
- Interest in digital teaching and e-learning
- Excellent written communication skills and enthusiasm for creating documentation and learning materials
- Structured, independent, and careful working style
- Technical understanding and interest in software testing and application development
- Team player with willingness to learn new topics and engage in continuous professional development
