Role:
As a Platform Engineer, you keep a modern cloud platform stable and develop it further. The focus is on AWS, containerised workloads, and automated deployments. You work closely with development and customer support and independently advance technical topics. Those who enjoy infrastructure, automation, and IoT topics will find plenty of scope for creativity here.
Responsibilities:
You operate and maintain the cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, serverless, and database services as well as certificate management
You manage containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes
Furthermore, you contribute to backend and interface development with Java and Spring Boot
You maintain and expand the CI/CD pipelines and support the development team in testing new releases
Additionally, you provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support for platform operations, together with development and customer support
You also document architecture and implementations and ensure knowledge transfer
Qualifications:
You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s is a plus
You have at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role
Cloud, infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), IoT, and payment systems spark your interest
You are familiar with several of these areas: cloud platforms, container technologies, Java backends, pipeline and code quality tools, identity and access management, and data integration
You are characterised by responsibility, commitment, and a desire for continuous development
Additionally, you communicate fluently in German and/or English
