Laboratory Technician: Microbiology (m/f/d)
Location: Aesch, BL
Position
For the Quality Control department, we are seeking an engaged and responsible individual for the microbiology area, starting immediately or by arrangement. You can expect a motivated team as well as a varied, exciting and demanding field of activity in a GMP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Conducting microbiological analyses as part of release analytics according to GMP
Environmental monitoring of water systems as well as classified rooms (air and surface controls)
Microbiological testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
Identification of microorganisms and germs
Raw data review according to the four-eyes principle
Participation in the optimisation, validation and transfer of analytical methods including documentation
Creation, revision and maintenance of SOPs and GMP-relevant documents
Maintenance, servicing, calibration and qualification of laboratory equipment
Organisation and coordination of daily laboratory operations including material management, ordering and inventory control
Conducting and documenting stability studies
Qualifications
Completed training as a biology, chemistry or medical laboratory technician EFZ or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in quality control in a GMP environment, ideally with a focus on microbiology
Experience with microbiological testing methods and laboratory processes
Initial experience in laboratory organisation, material management or ordering advantageous
Knowledge of LIMS is an advantage
Independent, structured and reliable working style
High flexibility, teamwork skills and a strong quality awareness
Very good German and English skills
