H+ Your Hospitals is the national umbrella organisation of public and private hospitals and clinics based in Bern. For over 20 years, H+ has offered healthcare organisations a bespoke solution for occupational safety and health protection tailored to the industry. Around 260 organisations with a total of over 143,000 full-time equivalents use the H+ industry solution, including university and central hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, psychiatric institutions, long-term care facilities, as well as radiology and blood donation centres.

As an Occupational Safety Specialist at the H+ industry solution, you support healthcare organisations in creating safe and healthy working conditions – practical, solution-oriented and throughout Switzerland. Together with a small, dedicated team, you will further develop our offering and actively shape its future.

Your tasks

• Ensuring the quality and services of the H+ industry solution for occupational safety and health protection
• Contributing to the further development and expansion of the H+ industry solution
• Advising and supporting our members on questions of occupational safety and health protection – by phone and directly on site, especially in the French- and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland
• Coordinating and conducting audits in organisations as well as training and further education
• Further developing the training offer in collaboration with training institutions, e.g. Espace Compétence
• Managing and further developing the online tool for hazard assessment
• Creating specialist articles in collaboration with the team and the communications department

Your skills

• Technical or commercial basic training
• Further training in the field of occupational safety and health protection at the specialist certificate level or willingness to complete such further training
• Professional experience in occupational safety and/or health protection, ideally in healthcare
• Fluent German or French skills with very good knowledge of the other language; knowledge of Italian is an advantage
• Confident, target group-appropriate manner and enjoyment of presenting and training
• High self-motivation as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong team orientation, personal responsibility and implementation strength
• Willingness to travel, especially for assignments in Western Switzerland and Ticino
