Portrait of the School/Institution
The Herzogenbuchsee school combines kindergarten and primary school in the centre of Oberaargau. Thanks to its location on the important transport axis between Bern and Olten, it is easily accessible and cares for children from Herzogenbuchsee and Niederönz from kindergarten to 6th grade. Currently, around 760 pupils attend the five school and five kindergarten locations, where they are supported by a dedicated and versatile team of teachers. In addition to regular lessons, the school also organises speech therapy and psychomotor skills offerings for the surrounding schools in the region.

Tasks
Together with your co-class teacher, you design lively lessons in a 1st/2nd grade class and take responsibility for 10–12 lessons. With creative ideas, clear structure and lots of heart, you accompany the pupils in their first school years, support them individually and ensure a motivating learning atmosphere. You work closely in a team, actively contribute to lesson planning and make everyday school life varied, appreciative and child-friendly.
Requirements
- You have training as a Cycle 1 teacher or are completing it
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate on equal terms with teachers and parents
