About the job
Focus on funding projects, cooperations and events
The Kirchner Museum Davos is one of the most important monographic museums in Switzerland. At its centre is the work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, which we bring into a lively dialogue with classical modernism and contemporary art. With a diverse programme of exhibitions, mediation and events, we see ourselves as an open museum and a place of art, exchange and encounter.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed individual for the area of third-party funding, cooperations and events (50–80%) from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
In this versatile interface role, you support the development and implementation of funding projects, cooperations and events of the museum. You work closely with the management and the various departments of the institution and take on the following tasks in particular:
- Research suitable funding opportunities for exhibitions, mediation offers and other museum projects
- Preparation, coordination and administrative support of funding and project applications in collaboration with management and the respective project managers
- Preparation of application documents, documentation, deadline management as well as coordination of reports and proof of use
- Participation in fundraising, sponsorship and networking activities as well as support of existing funding and cooperation partners
- Maintenance and support of the museum’s funding circles and networks, especially the Patrons Circle
- Planning, coordination and operational support of events, partner occasions, mediation formats and rentals
- Coordination of processes and participants as well as ensuring reliable preparation and follow-up
- Close cooperation with management, exhibition team, art mediation, visitor services as well as PR and marketing
What you bring
You are a communicative, reliable and solution-oriented person who enjoys organising, keeping an overview and bringing together different people and tasks. You work independently and carefully and feel comfortable in a versatile cultural environment.
- Training and/or professional experience in the cultural, event, communication, tourism or fundraising sector
- Experience in organising and coordinating projects, events or cooperations
- Experience in writing, preparing or coordinating funding and project applications
- Very good organisational skills as well as a structured, reliable and independent way of working
- Very good communication skills and a confident, reliable manner towards different stakeholders
- Enjoyment of networking and building and maintaining long-term relationships
- Confident use of common digital work and communication tools as well as willingness to familiarise yourself with new systems
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in connection with events
What we offer
You can expect a varied activity with insight into different areas of an internationally oriented museum. In a small, committed team, you take on responsibility independently and have the opportunity to actively shape projects and cooperations. Your workplace is located at the Kirchner Museum Davos. As far as the respective tasks allow, working from home is possible.
