Job description
The position is based at the Communication Service of the University of Geneva, specifically within the Projects & Promotion unit.
The post holder is responsible for the following secretarial and administrative support activities:
- Ensure the administrative coordination of the Communication Service and manage communication flows.
- Manage the administrative follow-up of orders, purchases, invoices and other administrative activities of the service.
- Provide administrative support for event organisation (management of invitations, registrations, bookings, logistics and documentation).
- Participate in the promotion of events across various communication channels.
- Contribute to the administrative management of temporary staff and databases related to events.

Required qualifications and skills
Basic training and professional experience required:
- Commercial employee CFC, commercial maturity or equivalent qualification.
- Professional experience in an administrative role, ideally in an institutional environment or in the field of communication and events.
Specific knowledge useful for the position:
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken; good knowledge of English is an asset.
- Excellent organisational, planning and priority management skills.
- Service-oriented, good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in common office software and ease in using databases and digital tools.
- An interest in institutional communication and event organisation is an asset.
