About the job
The City of Langenthal forms the centre of the Bernese Oberaargau with a catchment area of around 80,000 people and, with approximately 16,400 inhabitants, is the eighth largest municipality in the canton of Bern.
The day school services of the City of Langenthal provide care for kindergarten and school children outside of compulsory school lessons. To support this, we are looking for a committed individual as an Educational Specialist 25%-35% (2-3 days per week during school hours, free during school holidays) starting 1 January 2027.

This is your job
- Ongoing development of a modern, educational approach
- Support and promotion of the social integration of children and young people in the daily routine of the day school services together with the team
- Leadership, professional guidance and support of the staff at the day school location (care staff, substitutes)
- Involving children and young people in shaping their leisure time
- Supporting children and young people with their homework
- Supervising children and young people during lunchtime
- Carrying out tasks in the administrative, organisational and domestic areas
- Accompanying children from school/kindergarten to the day school and back
- Collaboration with the day school management, parents, teachers and other network partners
