In the role of Senior Process Excellence Expert, you are part of the Information & Technology business unit in Enterprise Architecture & Planning at Zurich Switzerland.

In this key role, you take on the professional leadership in expanding Process Excellence within the Enterprise Architecture of Zurich Switzerland. You operate at the interface between business and IT and work largely directly with business units and management teams outside of IT. Together with the business units, you develop binding standards, clear responsibilities, and a consistent view of end-to-end processes, shape the collaboration between central control and decentralised implementation, and actively contribute to projects and process initiatives. In doing so, you moderate cross-departmental workshops, accompany changes within the framework of organisational change management, and continuously develop our methods based on practical insights.

What to expect

• You shape the overarching process architecture and further develop the collaboration model for Process Excellence with clear roles, standards, and decision rights; in doing so, you support the end-to-end process owners as well as the management teams in fulfilling their roles and sustainably anchor common working methods within the company.
• You build up the Process Excellence Council as a cross-departmental steering committee, lead its work professionally, and prepare decisions for prioritising process improvements; in doing so, you consolidate process requirements from the business units, make dependencies and goal conflicts visible, and coordinate the process agenda with existing governance and portfolio structures.
• You develop a shared process understanding that connects the requirements of business, risk management, compliance, and IT. In doing so, you balance customer benefit, cost-effectiveness, as well as risk and compliance requirements and create the basis to make changes understandable within the company and anchor them sustainably.
• You actively participate in strategic projects and process initiatives, design end-to-end processes, and support the teams in clarifying cross-departmental dependencies and resolving professional goal conflicts; for this, you design and moderate workshops with process owners, business units, management teams, risk management, and IT and develop concrete improvements, actionable target images, and accompany their implementation within the framework of organisational change management.
• Together with the business units and Finance, you establish a uniform framework for process metrics, transaction costs, and benefit measurement, thereby creating transparency for well-founded decisions and continuously developing metrics-based process management.

What distinguishes you

• University degree in business informatics, business administration, industrial engineering, organisational or corporate development, or a related field, or a comparable qualification
• Extensive experience in process architecture, business process management, or process excellence as well as proven practice in building governance and collaboration models at the enterprise level
• Experience in leading cross-departmental change initiatives and the ability to win over different stakeholders – including management teams – for common goals, reach binding agreements, and anchor sustainable changes
• Solid experience in the insurance environment and a good understanding of key end-to-end business processes – from sales and underwriting through contract management to claims and benefits processing; advantageous. Knowledge in metrics-based process management, economic evaluation of process improvements, and integration of risks and controls into business processes is a plus
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-oriented skills as well as convincing communication and moderation skills in German and English
