The private Careum University of Health (CHG) was founded in 2006 and is part of the accredited Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland, which offers programs in health as well as psychology, law, music, and business. With its degree programs, continuing education offerings, and applied research and development, it fulfills the legal mandate of a university of applied sciences. In addition to a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Nursing program, it offers various continuing education programs in different areas of healthcare with around 350 students. The CHG team consists of permanent employees and over 200 lecturers. The strength of CHG is excellent university education for professionals with a strong practical focus and interdisciplinary research. A strong link between teaching and research is important to us, and our research team works interprofessionally and multidisciplinarily.

Deputy Director Teaching & Continuing Education Health 70 - 100%

Your main tasks

• As Deputy Director, you are a member of the CHG executive management and take overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management and further development of the Teaching and Continuing Education division.
• You are responsible for building growth-strong educational offerings in the health market and develop differentiated offerings for today's and tomorrow's care with your team.
• You develop new business models with national and international practice partners (hospitals, insurers, industry) and participate in the acquisition and execution of consulting mandates on behalf of the university.
• Together with the program directors, you ensure quality assurance in the degree programs in cooperation with internal and external accreditation bodies.
• You actively shape the transfer between teaching, research, and practice. Personal engagement in teaching and/or research is possible and encouraged.
• You position the university in competition with public universities of applied sciences and actively participate in marketing activities.

Your profile

• You have a university degree with a doctorate in nursing or health sciences and bring several years of proven leadership experience.
• You are an implementation-strong personality and have experience in change management as well as data-based control.
• You have demonstrable experience in building new degree programs, scaling continuing education offerings, and possibly in digitalizing teaching.
• You convince with your solid knowledge of the education landscape and the Swiss healthcare system.
• Besides German, you are fluent in English.
• You have a high level of commitment, flexibility, and entrepreneurial thinking.
• You enjoy working success-oriented in an interdisciplinary team.
• You are communicative, loyal, and goal-oriented.
