Your responsibility

• As the person responsible for communication on digital transformation, you are in charge of internal and external communication regarding the digital transformation of the administration. You prepare complex topics in an understandable way and convey them appropriately to employees, managers, and the public.
• You are responsible for coordinating and further developing the canton’s digital communication channels as well as monitoring the social media channels.
• You participate in the development of an AI web assistant for the canton’s website and manage its content in operation as a RAG content manager. In addition, you are responsible for monitoring user interactions.
• You advise the project management of the canton’s digitalisation projects on communication matters, report regularly on the status of the various projects, and provide the corresponding communication tools.

Your background

• For these tasks, you bring a communication qualification at master’s level or another subject-specific qualification.
• Ideally, you have experience in content optimisation for AI applications (e.g. RAG systems, chatbots) and know how texts must be formulated and structured so that they can be reliably used by AI tools.
• For reporting on the canton’s digital projects, you have a fluent, stylistically confident writing style in German, adapted to the requirements of online media and UX writing.
• You are a personality who tackles tasks actively and enjoys working both independently and in a team.
• You enjoy coordinating many stakeholders and inspiring them for the digital communication channels.

State Chancellery

The State Chancellery is one of the Special Authorities of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. It is the staff unit of the Cantonal Parliament and Government and is headed by the Cantonal Clerk. Together with its around 45 employees, it supports the Parliament, commissions, and government in their work, especially in organising and preparing and following up on meetings. It plans and organises the cantonal elections and referendums and maintains the chronological and systematic collection of laws. In addition, it is responsible for the website and the online service portal of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft.
