Kantonsschule Hohe Promenade is a grammar school with classical and modern language profiles (from 2029 additionally with special focus subjects in social and natural sciences), an immersion course in German/English as well as a strong STEM offering. At the start of the 2027/28 school year or by arrangement, a 75% position as a secondary school teacher with special responsibilities in Physics is to be filled at our school.
Your Tasks
- You will teach Physics as a core and supplementary subject in lower and upper secondary school as well as the interdisciplinary subject "Experimenting and Discovering"; further interdisciplinary formats are possible.
- You will contribute to shaping the future focus subject Engineering, consisting of a combination of Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science, in a convincing and attractive way (and subsequently also teach it).
- You will help shape our dynamic, analogue and digital teaching formats.
- You will be involved in the subject department and take on special tasks within the school (class teacher role, participation in commissions and school development projects, etc.).
Your Profile
- You have a completed university degree at master’s level as well as a teaching diploma for grammar schools (completed or imminent). Ideally, you can teach Physics immersively (in English).
- You bring several years of teaching experience at grammar school level, ideally at a long grammar school, and stand for demanding and contemporary teaching.
- You are an open, team-oriented and committed personality who cares about both professional education and personal development.
- You want to engage in a diverse and lively school culture.
