OUR MISSION
As a Hotel & Event Sales Officer, you will be a hands-on person with real commercial strength to efficiently manage requests from professional and private clients as well as prospect and develop sales of our various spaces; hotel, restaurant and events.
MAIN TASKS
Commercial coordination and organisation:
- Manage and market the hotel and restaurant products with the establishment's various target clients.
- Be the sole point of contact for the client, from contract signing to post-event follow-up.
- Handle incoming requests and propose suitable offers.
- Prepare service orders and forward them to the relevant departments, acting as the liaison between the client and the various departments involved.
- Coordinate and brief, in addition to internal departments, external providers involved in event execution (decorators, technicians, entertainment).
- Prepare invoicing for event services and ensure follow-up with the finance department.
- Develop and monitor the budget for each event, ensuring cost and margin control.
- Welcome and support MICE clients during their events at the hotel.
- Ensure an active presence during events to guarantee the proper execution of sold services and client satisfaction.
- Ensure constant compliance with safety, hygiene, quality standards and legal requirements during events.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the hotel's event processes and offerings.
Prospecting and commercial development
- Actively prospect new clients in the Corporate, MICE, Groups, Accommodation and Catering segments.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of companies, agencies, referrers and partners.
- Develop sales materials such as banquet, seminar files and brochures.
- Conduct sales calls, commercial meetings, site visits and offer presentations.
- Ensure commercial follow-ups and proposal tracking until conclusion.
- Occasionally represent the establishment at trade fairs, workshops and professional events.
- Provide regular reporting of commercial activity to Management.
- Implement commercial actions defined with General Management and contribute to achieving the establishment's revenue targets.
Promotion and external communication
- Contribute to marketing materials and commercial actions, in collaboration with the communication agency and Management.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON IF
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in hospitality, tourism, events or business.
- Successful first experience in a commercial and event role, ideally in hospitality or the MICE sector.
- Good command of common office tools and social media for professional purposes.
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud software is a real asset.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken/written), German is an advantage.
- Excellent service sense and concern for client satisfaction.
- Organised, rigorous.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reactive and calm in unexpected situations.
- Good communication skills with varied interlocutors.
- Proactive and creative, especially in digital communication.
- Impeccable behaviour (working with young students).
- Flexibility and availability during events held in the evening or at weekends.
