Employers with 100 or more employees are obliged to conduct a pay equity analysis. The aim is to enforce the constitutional claim to equal pay for work of equal value. The analysis at PDGR was conducted in 2020 and repeated in 2024.Taking into account differences in qualification characteristics (e.g. education, years of employment, years of service) and job-related characteristics, a pay difference of 2.1% to the disadvantage of women was found in 2024. The pay structure survey (LSE) of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) in 2023 showed an unexplained pay gap for the public sector based on the mean value of 7.0% and for the Swiss overall economy of 7.8%.PDGR is well below the tolerance threshold of 5% set by the federal government with 2.1%. Since this threshold was not exceeded, PDGR is not obliged to conduct another pay equity analysis in four years.
