About the job
Caritas Central Switzerland is committed to people in challenging life situations. The offer "Support in the Last Phase of Life" trains volunteers, strengthens professionals, and provides advice and education around the end of life. It also connects people who deal professionally or privately with the support of seriously ill and dying people as well as the topics "dying and death." Due to the upcoming retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for a committed person to take over the position as Offer Manager "Support in the Last Phase of Life."
For the further development of the offer, it is important for us to find a person who brings the necessary expertise, great creative power, and joy in networking with all involved.
These tasks await you:
- Further development, conceptualisation, and design of educational offers for volunteers, team leaders, and professionals
- Organisation and management of courses, specialist events, information sessions, and lectures on palliative care and end-of-life support.
- Advice on topics related to support in the last phase of life, advance care planning, and palliative care
- Maintenance and expansion of the network with professional organisations, institutions, churches, and other partners in Central Switzerland.
- Classic project work such as budgeting, controlling, advertising measures in cooperation with the responsible persons.
- Active participation on the board of the Palliative Lucerne Association
What you bring:
We wish for a person who recognises opportunities, thinks along, and actively contributes. With us, you will find a meaningful and diverse task with social relevance and impact.
To successfully take on this multifaceted task, you should meet most – though not necessarily all – of the points below.
- Degree or higher professional education (FH/HF or equivalent) in health, social work, theology, psychology, or a comparable field.
- Further training or solid experience in palliative care, spiritual care, or related fields
- SVEB certificate or willingness to obtain it.
- Several years of professional experience in the social or health sector, pastoral care, or psychosocial counselling.
- Independent, structured working style and strong communication and networking skills.
We work based on roles: responsibility with us is not tied to a classic hierarchy but to roles that you actively shape. Beyond your role as Offer Manager, you are free to take on further responsibility and help develop our organisation.
