- You will own the analog/mixed-signal area of the IC design infrastructure and further develop it with the aim to provide support to researchers and students.
- You will support design flows covering all aspects of IC design with a strong focus on analog/mixed-signal design flows using the latest tools from Cadence Design System, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics and open-source tools.
- You will interact with students and researchers to help them with their IC design related questions, chip finishing and submission of ICs to fabrication through MPW and foundry contacts.
- You will also be asked to develop, adapt and maintain common building blocks for mixed-signal IC chips as well as the development of larger mixed-signal ICs.

Candidates should bring at least 5 years of IC design experience, gained in industry or at a qualified research institution, including hands-on familiarity with tape-out procedures. A track record of multiple successful analog/mixed-signal tape-outs across a range of technology nodes, including advanced ones such as 22nm and FinFET, is required, as is experience leading chip tape-out projects. Proficiency with UNIX, scripting languages, and IC design tools from major EDA vendors is also required. Good written and spoken English is essential for technical collaboration in a multicultural environment. Experience organizing technical training courses and undergraduate laboratory activities is highly desirable. The ideal candidate combines strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences and is comfortable taking on a leading and senior technical role within the team.
We offer
We are a small support team of four permanent employees, and are looking forward to add a fifth member to the team. As a support group we expect you to be present mostly in the office to interact with students and research staff, however we can accommodate some home office hours per week as long as it aligns with the rest of the group.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our team. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. If you are interested in this role but your past experience does not align perfectly with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.
