About the job

As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking from 1 May 2027

for a sexton 60-80% and a deputy sexton 30-40%

Welcome to the Reformed Church Community of Murten. We are a diverse and lively church community in the Murten region. Our long-standing sexton and deputy sexton are retiring. We are looking for two motivated employees to seamlessly complement our team.

Your tasks

• Preparing and supervising worship services and church events
• Maintenance and upkeep of the churches and associated premises in cooperation with the cleaning staff
• Setting up and tidying away technical equipment as well as decorations
• Supporting the pastoral team with organisational tasks
• Surroundings and garden work

Your profile

• Reliable, independent and flexible working style
• Enjoyment in contact with people and working in a church environment
• Manual skills and organisational talent
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
• Residence ideally in the Murten region
