You enjoy working precisely, keep an overview even with more complex issues and want to take responsibility for your own payroll area?
As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure together with our HR team that our employees are paid reliably and correctly. Your role goes beyond pure payroll processing: you deal with social insurances, absences, year-end processes and reports and are an important contact person for employees and managers. At the same time, you have the opportunity to further develop our payroll processes and systems.
Your tasks
You independently take over payroll responsibility for a defined employee area and ensure correct and timely payroll processing. This includes in particular:

- preparation of evaluations and reports, for example on personnel costs, audits or other HR key figures
- competent contact person for employees and managers on questions about salary, social insurances and other payroll topics
- close cooperation with our HR partners, the regional payroll management as well as internal and external interfaces
- active participation in the optimisation, digitalisation and further development of our payroll processes and systems
What you bring with you
Payroll only works with trust and accuracy. That is why we are looking for someone who likes to take responsibility and works carefully even with recurring deadlines.
Ideally, you bring:
- a commercial basic education with further training in HR, payroll or social insurance
- several years of solid professional experience in Swiss payroll, ideally in a larger or decentralised organisation
- profound knowledge of Swiss social insurances as well as relevant legal and salary-related regulations
- a strong service orientation and enjoyment in working with employees, managers and the HR team
- a good understanding of compensation topics, HR key figures and related HR processes
- good analytical skills and enjoyment in questioning and further developing processes
- good knowledge of HR and payroll systems; Abacus knowledge is an advantage
- very good German skills as well as good English skills; Italian is an additional plus
What is also important to us: Even if conditions change or not everything is perfectly defined yet, you do not lose sight of the big picture but look for a good solution together with us.
What to expect from us
Our HR and payroll organisation is evolving. Processes are being standardised, responsibilities sharpened and our systems continuously developed.
For you, this means: You are close to the operational business and at the same time have the opportunity to jointly further develop our payroll.
- a responsible payroll function with a lot of independence
- 40-hour week and 5 weeks’ holiday
- after the induction, the possibility to work partially from home
- a versatile HR environment with lots of contact with employees and managers
- a team where collaboration and mutual support are important
- short decision-making paths and room for your own ideas
- opportunities to develop professionally and personally within HR
- an environment where you not only execute existing processes but also help to further develop them
