The city of Schaffhausen offers a diverse range of services for the care of elderly people in both outpatient and inpatient care. This includes the three municipal retirement homes, the Spitex Region Schaffhausen with six partner municipalities, and the Coordination Office for the Elderly. Around 550 employees are committed daily to providing comprehensive care and support.

The best possible care for the senior citizens of the city of Schaffhausen is our daily goal. As the Coordination Office for the Elderly, we serve as an information and contact point for older people and their relatives. As part of a succession plan, we are looking for a psychologist for our interprofessional team. The focus is on the psychological support of our residents, especially during admission to an institution and thus the transition to a new phase of life, as well as psychological support and counselling in the outpatient care of the city population.

In this exciting role

• you conduct psychologically supported admission and counselling interviews.
• you initiate initial therapy if necessary and refer to suitable services.
• you are responsible for initial assessments/diagnostics and triage.
• you further develop the psychological care services in outpatient and inpatient care.
• you are the professional contact person.
• you conduct case discussions and train staff.
• you work closely with the consultative psychiatric service and the social work specialist of the Coordination Office and participate in round table discussions.
• you share responsibility for the creation and implementation of concepts.

You will be successful here

• due to your federal recognition as a psychotherapist MSc.
• due to your intervention competence in planning and implementing evidence-based measures.
• with your experience and proven performance in prevention and education in elderly care.
• because you possess high professional and social competence.
• because you are an open and communicative personality with good organisational skills.
• due to your affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration in the elderly sector.
• because you can work both in a team and independently.
• due to your conceptual skills and motivation to build up and further develop the service.
