System Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable IT infrastructures are the foundation of every digital business. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who manages server landscapes, resolves complex faults, and actively develops modern infrastructure further. An ideal position for IT specialists who want to take responsibility and stay technically up to date.
Responsibilities:
Operation and continuous development of modern IT infrastructures
Administration of demanding Windows and Linux environments
Support of physical and virtualised server landscapes
Planning and implementation of technical infrastructure changes
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support
Monitoring of systems, services, and infrastructure components
Optimisation of performance, availability, and stability
Implementation of technical measures to improve IT security
Support with network, firewall, and connectivity issues
Automation of recurring administration tasks with PowerShell and Bash
Participation in migrations, upgrades, and modernisations
Support in building and operating hybrid cloud infrastructures
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational standards
Participation in infrastructure and technology projects
Evaluation of new technologies with a focus on automation, security, and efficiency
Qualifications:
IT training in platform development, system technology, ICT, or comparable practical experience
Professional experience in system engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations
Good knowledge of Windows or Linux
Experience with virtualisation and server technologies
Basic understanding of modern cloud and container platforms
Ideally practical experience with Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes
Interest in infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code
Initial experience with PowerShell, Bash, or comparable scripting languages
Understanding of network and security concepts
Solution-oriented and analytical thinking
High initiative and willingness to take on technical responsibility
Enjoyment of modern technologies and continuous development
