The District Court is the cantonal judicial authority of first instance responsible for civil and criminal justice. It operates with full independence, diligence, and rigour.
The District Court is spread over three sites and consists of the following sections: conciliation chamber, civil court, child and adult protection authority (APEA), juvenile criminal court, police court, criminal court, and coercive measures court.
The Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers, Boudry site, is recruiting a 75% secretary, attached to the criminal sector. The appointed person will also be required to handle cases related to the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act.
Your tasks
Within the scope of your role, you ensure the constitution and administrative processing of judicial files. You draft correspondence as well as decisions, schedule hearings, and write minutes, either by dictation or on the spot.
You also manage the follow-up of agendas and deadlines at the IT level. You are responsible for sending, enforcing, and archiving the decisions made while acting as the primary point of contact to welcome and inform litigants, lawyers, or other administrative services at the counter and by phone.
Finally, this role involves participating in the weekend on-call duties of the Coercive Measures Court.
Your profile
Holder of a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, you have relevant experience for the position, ideally acquired in the judicial environment or within a law firm.
Committed to public service values, you demonstrate loyalty, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility. Meticulous and precise, you have an excellent command of French, typing skills, and the Office suite.
Autonomous and organised, you are proactive and know how to take initiatives within the scope of your assigned responsibilities. You enjoy handling complex files requiring attention to detail.
You adapt quickly to new environments and integrate easily into a team. Stress-resistant and possessing an excellent sense of priorities, you can manage a heavy workload and multiple demands while respecting urgency levels and deadlines.
This position requires a clean criminal record and debt enforcement record.
