You can contribute the following
- Technical and organisational leadership of the test flight operations team for flight tests with civil and predominantly non-military approved aviation systems (fighter jets, helicopters, turboprops and drones)
- Personnel and technical leadership of the test flight operations team including ensuring professional qualification and licensing, as well as acting as the contact person for coordination with the Air Force
- Participate in test flight operations (e.g. in provision and operation, as loadmaster, during cargo flights, in the creation of instructions, processes and content for manuals, etc.)
- Ensure operational readiness of the relevant equipment and vehicles of the test aircraft, installations, facilities and systems as well as the aircraft hangars at the Aviation Systems Centre Emmen
- Implement requirements (EASA Part 145 / Part 66) for our civil aircraft as well as the Air Force requirements for military aviation systems
- Prepare and accompany audits by military and civil authorities as well as with industry. Complete and approve maintenance documents for the work carried out by the team
What makes you unique
- Aircraft mechanic EFZ or similar 4-year technical basic training with many years of experience in flight operations. Leadership experience and further training in aviation are advantageous
- EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (Category B1) is an advantage
- Precise, responsible, flexible and team-oriented working style. Enjoyment and motivation for diverse tasks around test flight operations as well as leading a team
- Driving licence category B (C/E advantageous) and good IT skills (MS Office/SAP)
- Flight medical fitness must be confirmed by the Flight Medical Institute before employment
- You have very good knowledge of the German official language and good English skills. Other official languages are an advantage

You are the passionate and motivated aviator who, together with your team, the test pilots, flight test engineers and specialists for flight test infrastructure, enables the execution of flight tests for the Air Force systems. You enjoy working independently and proactively with your own team and various organisations, take initiative and help shape the further development within the flight testing management.
