Role:
Business-critical applications only run reliably if someone truly understands the technology behind them. As a Business Application Manager, you take on exactly this responsibility and ensure stable and secure operation throughout the entire lifecycle. You operate between the business department, system integration, and data flows. Your analyses range from REST APIs down to the database level. In this way, you actively shape operation and further development.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation, configuration, and lifecycle management of business-critical business applications and continuously develop them further.
In the event of complex disruptions, you conduct root cause analyses and coordinate incidents with IT specialists and external software providers.
You monitor interfaces and data flows and ensure the proper processing of CSV, XML, and JSON.
Furthermore, you plan updates, patches, and releases including system, regression, and acceptance tests.
Additionally, you administer user accounts, roles, and permissions.
You also translate business requirements into technical configurations and contribute to digitalisation projects.
Qualifications:
With training or a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field, you bring the technical foundation.
You have several years of experience in application management or the technical operation of critical business applications.
Interface management and system integration are familiar to you, ideally also with REST APIs or web services.
You know incident, problem, change, and release management and have experience with controlled production deployments.
In addition, knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), logging, and monitoring helps you with independent analyses.
You also keep an overview of complex dependencies between applications, data, and infrastructure.
