The Directorate for Civil Engineering, Transport and Urban Green ensures an attractive public space. Urban Green Bern manages the public green spaces and trees and operates a nursery as well as the cemeteries.
What you will achieve
- Maintenance and upkeep work on high avenue, avenue and individual trees, especially old trees
- Regular inspections of the tree population including development of care measures
- Tree replacement from planting/growth care to felling
- Direct professional and personnel leadership of a tree care team as well as planning, coordination and ensuring an efficient workflow while guaranteeing compliance with quality, safety and occupational health regulations and supporting the employees
- Operation of machines and equipment in the field of tree care
What you bring
- Certified tree care specialist, tree care professional
- Vocational training as a forest ranger, gardener or nursery worker
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in tree care
- Interest in further training/development in the area of responsibility
- Driving licence category B and BE
