What you can contribute
- Support the implementation of the Federal Council's defence policy strategy
- Independently research defence policy topics and contribute to the further development of defence policy foundational work
- Actively accompany strategic political affairs in collaboration with other offices
- Contribute content-wise and organisationally to the preparation and follow-up of industrial visits at home and abroad
- Prepare defence policy contributions for national and international government contacts at the level of the Chief of Defence and company management
What makes you unique
- Your graduation with a master's degree, preferably in International Relations, Political Science, Security Policy, Political Economy or Public Management, is imminent or no more than 18 months ago at the time of employment
- You show initiative, have editorial skills in your official language, are an organisational talent and know how to use IT tools efficiently
- Oral and written knowledge of a second official language. Good English skills are a prerequisite
- Motivation to help shape Switzerland's security in a committed and diverse team

As the central procurement office of the federal administration, we procure security-relevant systems and goods and are responsible for the technology and real estate management of the DDPS.
The Strategic Staff supports the Chief of Defence as well as the company management. It is responsible for the strategic development of the company, political affairs, international relations, and communication.
